Role and Responsibilities: I wrote and co-produced a video created to showcase the vital work the hospital provides to serve the needs of critically ill children in South Florida as part of a private fundraising campaign.

Role and Responsibilities: The Heights Foundation works to build strong, self-sufficient families and foster community development in Fort Myers, Florida. Working with the Foundation director, I managed the development of the organization's website as a platform for community outreach.
University of Florida Foundation
Editor, University of Florida TODAY magazine
A top-tier public research university, UF comprises 16 colleges and more than 200 research, service and education centers, bureaus and institutes. A member of the American Association of Universities, the institution also encompasses UF Health, an integrated network of UF’s Health Science Center, UF Health-Shands Hospital and the UF Health-Jacksonville family of hospitals and services.
Role and Responsibilities: As editor of the university’s magazine, I was responsible for covering the teaching, research, service and people at the core of UF's mission. My scope of duties included all editorial planning, budgeting, operations and production, while serving a dual appointment in university relations and university advancement.
I provided leadership to a team of university writers, graphic designers, photographers and illustrators while working collaboratively with campus-wide communications colleagues to extend and enhance the university’s brand. Campus committee involvement included serving on the crisis communications committee, graphic identity committee, and the UF Foundation's committee for re-accreditation during the university's re-accreditation process.
In addition, I worked with senior university leadership to coordinate messaging and material to be published in the magazine in support of overarching institutional strategic goals, and I assisted in the coordination and production of publication materials in support of a university capital campaign.

Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation

Role and Responsibilities: Florida Gulf Coast University, the newest member of Florida’s State University System, hired to me to facilitate the development and launch of their alumni publication, FGCU, as well as manage the writing, editing and production of annual reports and a capital campaign publication.
Working closely with senior staff in university advancement, I guided discussions among various stakeholders to develop the publication and guide its creation and production. On the editorial side, I wrote and edited content and consulted on photography and design. I was also responsible for procuring printing services and coordinating and supervising press runs.
I filled a similar role in the creation of the FGCU Foundation’s annual reports and capital campaign publication, writing and editing copy, coordinating photography, working with an in-house graphic designer on layouts and design, and managing printer relations.
University of Georgia Foundation
Freelance writer/editor and editorial consultant
Role and Responsibilities: My freelance work for the University of Georgia encompassed writing for the Foundation’s Annual Reports along with the Report of the President. I also wrote for Georgia, the university's alumni magazine, including a cover story on the impact of the newly instituted state lottery on the legislature’s funding of higher education in the state.
Additionally, I wrote and consulted on the design of a range of informational publications for the Division of Student Affairs.
